The Danger of Church Politic’s

Posted on: July 24th, 2017 by ktaylor

The business of the Church can be a tricky one,not business like paying the bills but the business of a bunch of folks coming together as one. The call to serve has to be coupled with the nature to lead without losing sight of who we desire to follow,Christ. For over two years now I have personally been in a constant state of prayer around this very large but unspoken elephant in the sanctuary. It seems to be one that we all speak of but choose not to talk about,there is a difference. After hearing a message preached yesterday (7/24/17) The Holy Spirit not only prompted me to start this Bible study/article,but released me to bring it to light.

Just as politicking within the church has no limits or boundaries,bringing destruction,tearing down bridges without bias, this Bible study will inject the word of God without limits or boundaries,in order to provide insight for the positive building of bridges. As with all our on-line Bible studies I will provide a starting point,which God has provided, then through group comments & interaction the study will take shape as The Holy Spirit teaches.

All comments,questions & or concerns can as always be forwarded here on the website,Crossmembers Facebook & or our via email, Info@Crossmembersmensministry.com

While Matthew 18  will be the beginning for our Bible study,chapters 16 & 17 read prior to Matthew 18 will put the proper perspective in place for the message.  I can hear some now,saying well duh Keith ,you think,that 16 & 17 must be read before 18,humor me here. Here it goes;

* How does politicking in the church start?

* How & why does politic’s in the church matter?

* Who’s responsibility is it to monitor & manage politic’s within the church?

While the three questions above are a starting point,remember they are exactly that,a start. As we move along praying asking God to reveal Himself within this issue,He will teach us to turn a toxic problem to a growth plan.  As thoughts,questions & or concerns are forwarded they will be summarized & posted. Let’s get started.

in Christ

Keith
